About Rosie Motene
Celebrity Rosie Tebogo Motene is an accomplished actress in theatre, television and film, a TV soapy star and well known presenter, and a great MC. As a board member of (People Opposing Women Abuse) POWA, Childline and The Tomorrow Trust, she is also involved in campaigning against women and child abuse in South Africa. Rosie also supports the Global campaign for education and has written a personal story in the big read which occurred in 2009. During 2009, Rosie became a supporter of the 1goal-education for all campaign, which is a campaign aiming to get 75 million children across the world into classrooms, the campaign was initiated by FIFA and will run in conjunction with the 2010 World cup, the
reason for this is that after the final whistle has blown, we will still leave a legacy behind, a legacy for education.
Rosie has been rated as one of SA's most stylish women and has graced the covers of many local and international magazines. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Dramatic Arts (Honours) from The University of the Witwatersrand.
Since 2004, Rosie began presenting for a lifestyle show for MNET called studio 53, she has now been trained as a director and producer for the show and has been doing so for the last two years.
